Howard Lake, MN: Dura Supreme recently updated their cabinetry glass program to target upcoming trends in kitchen and bath cabinetry. The newest updates include “White” and “Black” back-painted glass options, a new Nickel caming for leaded glass doors, and a new collection of mirror options for both framed and mullion cabinet doors.
The largest update to Dura Supreme’s glass program is the new mirror section. Choices now range from a beveled mirror, antique mirror, gray mirror, bronze mirror, and standard mirror. Mirrors have been used as a decorative accent in home interiors for a long time, however, incorporating the reflectivity and airy look of a mirror within cabinetry as an emerging trend. Mirror used within cabinetry doors (behind mullions or simply in place of a glass door) is another wonderful way to add light and reflectivity within a kitchen.
According to Karen Wistrom, ASID, NCIDQ, CMG, VP of Sales & Marketing for Dura Supreme, “Designers and homeowners love the look of glass doors and mullion doors, but keeping dishware neat and tidy while they are displayed behind glass can become a chore. Mirror, in different shades and colors, offers the decorative and reflective look of glass but without revealing the cabinet interiors. It can be a very elegant option to consider within your design.”
