The homeowners of this newly built home in Northville, MI knew the look they wanted for their new kitchen when they discovered Knotty Alder wood species. They fell in love with its rustic and informal characteristics. After meeting with the couple and hearing their vision for their new kitchen, Wes Boggs, AKBD, of KSI Kitchen & Bath, knew exactly what style would work best for their new home.
First, he selected Dura Supreme’s “Hawthorne” door style for its Traditional style, with a Toast/Coffee Glaze finish for warmth. The combination truly emphasizes the beauty of Knotty Alder wood. A beautiful hood adds architectural detail while a large island adds seating within the kitchen and provides expansive counter space for meal preparation.
The final result is beautiful! From the kitchen to the living room, and all the way through to the bathrooms of this home it looks cozy and inviting.
“The fireplace built-in was the most impressive piece of the design to me. It was the first thing you saw when you walked into the house and it set the standard for the rest,” stated designer Wes Boggs, “The family was in love with the new spaces we designed just for them!”
